Mr. Adam Pavelchik

    Adam Pavelchik has state teaching licenses from WI and FL. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Martin Luther College and a Master’s degree in Education- English as a Second Language from the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater. He is currently completing coursework towards a Master’s degree in Special Education.

Mr. Pavelchik has taught at the elementary level in both Lutheran and public schools. He served as an Assistant Principal and classroom teacher for 6 years, and as an ESL teacher for 6 years.

He has a passion for all things language. Additionally, he is an avid user and proponent of technology.

He believes in engaging students in learning by encouraging them to be innovative beings. 

This lead him to apply for a Fund for Teacher's Fellowship (which he was awarded along with two other teachers) to study the innovative educational practices of Scandinavian schools.

He is dedicated to fostering a school environment that sparks creativity, exploration, and imagination while keeping God's Word at the forefront.

Pastor Matt Moldstad


Pastor Matthew Moldstad became the pastor of Peace Lutheran in 2012. He is a fourth generation pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod. He is a board member of Southern Lutheran Academy and has served as a youth activity coordinator in multiple locations.

Pastor Moldstad has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethany Lutheran College and his Masters of Divinity from Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary. He has an Associate of Arts degree in Hebrew from the Defense Language Institute.

From 2002 to 2006, Pastor Moldstad served in the U.S. Navy as a Hebrew translator. After completing his seminary degree in 2011, he joined Peace as a vicar (student pastor) under Pastor Herb Huhnerkoch.

He has studied both Greek and Hebrew and enjoys frisbee golfing, water sports, and biking. He plays bass guitar and loves playing board games. In 2011, he had the opportunity to travel to the Holy Land of Israel.

Mr. Ian Watson
7th and 8th Grade



Mrs. Katie Krug
5th and 6th Grade


Katie Krug joined the staff at Peace in January of 2015.  Katie graduated from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN in December with a Major in Elementary Education (Kindergarten to 6th grade), Early Childhood Education (birth-age 8), and a minor in Physical Education. For elementary student teaching, she taught in a public school and in a Lutheran school. She taught Kindergarten at Lafayette Charter School in Lafayette, Minnesota for 5 weeks then 3rd Grade at Peace Lutheran in Hartford, Wisconsin for 10 weeks.

Before moving to Kissimmee, she was finishing her student teaching for Early Childhood Education. She taught at the Martin Luther College Early Childhood Learning Center for 18 weeks. There she cared for and taught infants, toddlers, and preschool (ages 2.5-5).

Mrs. Mandy Pavelchik
3rd and 4th Grade


Mandy Pavelchik has state teaching licenses from WI and FL. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Martin Luther College. She has served as a supervisor of student teachers and is a teacher mentor for the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod’s New Teacher Initiation Program.

Mrs. Pavelchik has 13 years of elementary teaching experience including teaching in multi-age/multi-grade classrooms. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Pavelchik teaches piano lessons, plays for school chapel services, and assists in directing and selecting music pieces for singing in church.

Miss Justine Smith
1st and 2nd Grade


Justine Smith joined the faculty of Peace Lutheran School in 2013. She previously taught Kindergarten and in a multi-grade classroom (Grades K through 4) at Trinity Lutheran School in El Paso, TX.

Miss Smith has an Education degree from Martin Luther College and teaching licenses from the states of Minnesota and Texas.

Her favorite subjects to teach are math and art and she loves finding projects that allow kids to express themselves. She enjoys painting in her spare time.

Mrs. Barbara Huhnerkoch


Barbara Huhnerkoch has been blessed with the opportunity of helping start two Lutheran schools. Having spent 30 years teaching a number of grades in classrooms across the country, she brings a solid background in early childhood and elementary education.

With the help of her husband (a pastor) and local congregrations, Mrs. Huhnerkoch was able to help start Our Savior Lutheran School in Lake Havasu, AZ and Peace Lutheran School in Kissimmee, FL. She taught in Lake Havasu City for 7 years prior to joining Peace.

Mrs. Huhnerkoch has taught preschool at a number of locations, including Miami (FL), Garden Grove (CA), and Lake Havasu City (AZ). She has substitute-taught in both private and public schools in several states during her teaching career. She has also volunteered as a Vacation Bible School teacher, Sunday School teacher, assistant librarian, and in a variety of roles in support of her church and school communities.

Mrs. Huhnerkoch has a degree in Education from Martin Luther College and has participated in multiple early childhood education programs in her continuing education. She enjoys reading, crafts and gardening.

Mrs. Kristin Schroeder

Kristin Schroeder has been blessed to teach in Lutheran schools in Nebraska, Colorado, and Florida for 20 years.  Most recently she served as Director and VPK teacher at a preschool in Saint Cloud.  Kristin holds a teaching certification in Colorado, Nebraska, and Florida. She also holds a Florida Directors license from the Department of Children and Families. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing her students get excited about learning, but more importantly, sharing the love of Jesus with the children.
